Rook Ceph RBD storage classes for Kubernetes
Offering block volumes to stateful workloads: pools and replication per StorageClass, reclaim policies, volume expansion and choosing RBD for databases versus CephFS for shared data.

Specific tasks for running or consuming Ceph from Kubernetes with the Rook operator: block, file and object storage for workloads, external clusters, snapshots and upgrades.
Offering block volumes to stateful workloads: pools and replication per StorageClass, reclaim policies, volume expansion and choosing RBD for databases versus CephFS for shared data.
Giving many pods the same file system: CephFS StorageClasses, subvolume groups, metadata server sizing for many small files and quotas per volume.
Self-service buckets for applications: the bucket StorageClass, claims that produce a Secret and ConfigMap, new versus existing buckets, reclaim policies and object store users.
Using a cephadm-managed cluster from one or more Kubernetes clusters: provider and consumer roles, exporting and importing connection details, pools to create first and updating CephX caps on upgrades.
Upgrading the operator and the Ceph version as two steps: Helm chart order, manifest upgrades, health checks before and after, and stepping through Rook minor releases.
Using CSI snapshots and clones for RBD and CephFS volumes: snapshot classes, cloning from snapshots, how they map to RBD snapshots and CephFS subvolume clones, and limits for backups.
